/project

One interface for project facts and decisions

What it does

/as:project is the single interface to a project’s durable memory. It initializes the record bundle, remembers sourced facts, captures and supersedes decisions, and reports status.

Two layers, both plain files in your project folder:

  • PROJECT.md — the facts. Identity, site, zoning, program, code edition.
  • Decision records — the reasoning. Numbered documents with context, options, the call, and consequences, registered in DOCUMENTS.csv.

Three hard rules:

  1. Every entry carries a source and a date. FAR 6.02 (PLUTO, 2026-06-10) — never an orphan number.
  2. Facts are updated in place, never duplicated. The file holds current state; history is git’s job.
  3. Decisions are superseded, never deleted. The trail is the point.

Decision files are canonical as of v1.4 — PROJECT.md no longer maintains a Decisions table.

What changed in 1.4

/as:project replaces /project-dossier and /decision. No compatibility aliases remain.

Analysis skills across Architecture Studio read the project record before fetching and hand findings back after. Meeting minutes, site visit reports, tasks, work plans, and time entries discover decision files directly and stay independently owned.

Usage

/as:project init ← create the record bundle
/as:project ← show current status
/as:project remember ← record a sourced fact
/as:project decisions ← list decision records
/as:project record-decision ← capture a decision
/as:project supersede ← replace a decision, keeping the trail

There is no old-format converter. Existing projects are never transformed silently — init previews the exact files before it creates anything.
