How ALPA handles data on alpa.llc and in our open-source tools.
Who we are
ALPA is operated by Alpaca Labs LLC, a Delaware limited liability company with offices in New York. This policy covers the website at alpa.llc and our open-source tools, including Architecture Studio.
What we collect
On this website: We watch basic traffic patterns: how many people visit, which pages they read, and where they arrive from. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics for this. It sets no cookies, does not fingerprint your browser, and does not identify individual visitors; we see totals only. We do not use advertising trackers or tracking pixels. The only personal information we collect is the email address you give us if you sign up for the newsletter, described below. The site is static HTML served by Cloudflare Pages.
Cloudflare may collect basic server logs (IP address, request URL, timestamp) as part of its infrastructure. This is governed by Cloudflare's privacy policy, not ours. We see only daily totals derived from them, such as request and visitor counts, never individual records. Google Search Console tells us, in aggregate, which searches lead to the site.
In our open-source tools: Architecture Studio and other plugins run through your selected host, including Codex, Claude Code, or Claude Desktop. We do not receive project files, session content, or product telemetry. Research skills contact only the public sources named in their documentation when you run them. On Claude Code, an optional update check can contact version.alpa.llc after you enable it; it sends no project content or Architecture Studio identifier. Codex does not install this update-check hook.
Newsletter
If you sign up for the ALPA newsletter, we collect your email address. We use it only to send you the newsletter: an occasional letter from the studio about what we are building, what we are learning, and the people we are building it with.
Double opt-in. Signing up sends you one confirmation email. You are not on the list until you open that email and press Confirm. If you don't confirm, we do not store your address as a subscriber and you will not hear from us again.
Provider. Subscriber addresses and their subscription status are stored and the newsletter is sent by Resend, our email provider, under Resend's privacy policy. Along with your address, we keep the date you confirmed or unsubscribed, so we can honor your choice.
Separate from our products. The ALPA newsletter is its own list. Signing up for it does not sign you up for any product mailing list, including Architecture Studio, and we never add people to it from other lists.
Unsubscribe. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also write to hi@alpacalabs.co. You can ask us to delete your address at the same address. We do not sell or share subscriber addresses.
If you email us at hi@alpacalabs.co, we'll have your email address and whatever you wrote. We use it to reply. Writing to us doesn't add you to the newsletter or any other mailing list, and we don't share your email with anyone.
Third-party services
The website links to GitHub and LinkedIn. Those services have their own privacy policies. We don't embed their trackers. Traffic totals come from Cloudflare Web Analytics and Google Search Console. Newsletter addresses are handled by Resend, as described above.
Data we store
Newsletter subscriptions, held by Resend as described above, and daily traffic totals (page views, visits, search clicks), which contain no personal information. We have no database of our own, no user accounts, and no payment processing on this site.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top. The full history is in our Git repository.
